| A. Bridle | From the corner of the mouth, behind the ears, to the other corner of the mouth. |
| B. Browband | From the area below the ears, across the forehead to the other side. *is the total length of the browband incl. loops. |
| C. Noseband | Circumference around the nose. *For smaller sizes 1.5 finger-widths below the jawbone, and for larger sizes 2 finger-widths below the jawbone. |
| D. Girth | The total circumference of the belly just behind the front legs. |
| E. Crupper | From the withers to the tail. |
| F. Loin strap | From the breeching, over the loins, to the other side of the breeching. |
| G. Breeching | Measured from flank to flank across the hindquarters. |
| H. Breast collar | From the front of the withers piece, across the chest, to the front of the withers piece on the other side. |
